A slightly revamped version of the first essay I published with ZEAL; made specifically for Zoyander Street's 9.9.99 Dream Bundle. To provide a brief synopsis of the essay, I examine Sega's Sakura Taisen through a historical lens, both in terms of historical accuracy and in terms of what this meant for contemporary Japan.
